ABWM Spring Program (May 13th, 2017)

American Baptist Women’s Ministries of First Baptist Church, DeKalb is excited to welcome Judy Dagraedt as speaker/musician for our spring luncheon on May 13, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.  All women planning to attend are asked to bring their favorite salad to serve 8-12 to this event.  Women of the community are invited to attend.  Judy will speak/sing on the topic of “How to Have Peace in the Midst of Turmoil.”

According to Judy Dagraedt of Ottawa, IL, she has been ministering in music since 1971. She has been writing and singing gospel music, leading in "praise & worship" for various events and church services, and recorded 9 gospel albums. Her concerts have taken her to various churches, clubs, prisons, women's retreats, and senior citizen's groups, and even a tour of Israel where she plans to organize future trips. She has appeared on various television and radio programs and hosted a television program entitled "Gentle Moments" for many years. She frequently speaks on the subject "How to Have Peace in the Midst of Turmoil,” and also when asked demonstrates her musical instruments involving audience participation using various rhythm instruments. Judy's concerts consist of new contemporary gospel songs, Scripture choruses, and some of the old gospel favorites. She frequently accompanies herself on various instruments such as the hammer dulcimer, auto harp, keyboard, and the Q-chord. Judy's concerts consist of the sharing of her testimony, as well as scriptures and uplifting words of encouragement.
